Christmas Bureau

The Christmas Bureau has symbolized our community’s willingness to help low-income North Shore families with children 18 years or younger, seniors 65 and older and persons with disabilities for almost thirty years. Families and individuals celebrate and enjoy the holidays through the distribution of Christmas hampers filled with grocery gift cards, gifts and toys. Every request for assistance is treated with compassion, respect and confidentiality. Our goal is to help low income families to enjoy a hearty meal on Christmas day and to ensure that every child receives a toy on Christmas morning.

During the holiday season we offer support to low-income families with children 18 or younger, low-income seniors and persons with disabilities, and individuals, living in North and West Vancouver, Lion's Bay and Bowen Island. Toy Shop appointments will be scheduled for families with children 18 years or younger.  To register you must complete the Christmas Bureau application form and bring photo identification, proof of residency, proof of household income,  Care Card for each child and proof of PWD status if applicable. Applications will be approved based on income levels or extreme circumstances.

The Christmas Bureau is open from November 14th to December 20th, 2016. For more detailed information on what it means to sponsor a family, read our information sheet.
