PROUD2BE Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation Virtual Event Series

Join Family Services of the North Shore, in partnership with West Vancouver Youth Services, for our PROUD2BE Gender Identity & Sexual Orientation Virtual Event Series.

Upcoming Virtual Event Series date:  Saturday, July 24, 2021

We are excited to bring together parents, youth, and professionals to celebrate and strengthen our diverse LGBTQ2S+ gender non-conforming and allied community.  The Virtual Events Series features guest speakers, panel discussions, support, and entertainment.  These events require pre-registration, details and information for April and July will be updated on this page closer to the each event.

Medical & Professional Panel, Saturday, April 24, 2021

Our third Virtual Event, the Medical & Professional Panel for parents, young adults, professionals, and adult family/friends, took place on Saturday, April 24, 2021.  The panel included Dr. Daniel Metzger and the team from BC Children’s Hospital Gender Clinic (Dr. Danya Fox, Dr. Charles Ho, Dr. Eva Moore, Stephanie Kemp, Rebecca Brooke, and Robyn Lalani), Dr. Wallace Wong, Registered Psychologist, and Dr. Tania Culham, Three Bridges Community Health Center.

This event provided a unique opportunity to ask the experts questions on how to access, navigate and understand the medical system and services available as it relates to trans and gender questioning children, youth and young adults.
