MAY 12, 2026 AT THE POLYGON GALLERY

Bubbles & Brunch, presented by Wheaton Precious Metals, was created in 2024 by a group of women from the North Shore united by a shared belief that no woman should have to face hardship or violence alone.

On May 12^th a remarkable community gathered in the sunny Seaspan Room at the Polygon Gallery to not only enjoy sparkling drinks, brunch with friends and a breathtaking view of downtown Vancouver, but also to support women and children in our community and raise funds to support our Gender-Based Violence Programs.

The event kicked off with our Live Auction, which included an amazing dinner in your home for 10 guests curated and cooked by our very own North Vancouver Firefighters. Thanks to North Vancouver Firefighters Charity Foundation for joining us for the occasion! We also auctioned off an incredible private World Cup viewing party for 60 at the Wallace Room, Lonsdale Quay.  Thanks to Quay North Urban and the many local businesses who donated incredible live auction items!

We heard inspiring words from Kristy James, Bubbles & Brunch founding chair, sharing her personal why and who called on all of us to speak out against violence and abuse.  We shared a powerful moment hearing from a former Family Services of the North Shore client, Anita, who was joined by her two young sons. She recounted her story for the first time, showing us the strength it takes to repair and heal and be there for her family, while acknowledging it can’t be done alone. After Anita’s standing ovation, Tamara Taggart and Howard Blank moved us to a heartwarming call to action and our guests in the room raised over $400,000 and counting!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Bubbles & Brunch! Because of you, we are proud to share that, in just its third year, this event has raised over $920,000 for women and children in our community. Together, we are building safer futures, supporting healing, and strengthening the North Shore. Thank you for being part of this meaningful event and for helping bring hope, dignity, and a healthier future to women and children.
