End of Life or Grief Support

Our dedicated Companioning Community Care volunteers embody the generous spirit of our community by providing a grief support group, home visits, gentle yoga or a relaxation circle for you or your loved one who is living with life-limiting or chronic illnesses, or grieving the death of a loved one.

COVID-19 Agency Update:   We believe that communities must take care of their most vulnerable, and that has never been more important to us than it is right now.  The health and safety of our staff, clients, volunteers, and broader community is our top priority.  Given the current circumstances related to COVID-19 and the input from health authorities, we have made the difficult decision to close our offices and suspend in-person programs effective March 17 and until further notice.  We will continue to support our current clients as needed by phone, and we will maintain the day to day operations of the Agency with our staff working remotely to continue to respond to the needs of our community.

If you are struggling with a life-limiting illness, disability or are grieving the loss of a loved one, our experienced counsellors can provide support.

Home visits and walking companionship

If you are looking for individualized emotional support, our volunteers will provide you with care and support through home visits or walking companionship.

Gentle Yoga

We offer gentle yoga sessions for you or a loved one living with grief, life-limiting illness, or chronic illness. Through gentle movement and poses, the practice promotes deep relaxation, stillness, and peace. All the poses and movements are gentle, and can be done even if you are ill or recovering from an illness or injury.

Relaxation Circle

Our caring facilitators combine gentle touch or energy modalities with guided meditation to promote your well-being and provide you with a deep sense of relaxation and stress relief.
