Find Support

We created our PROUD2BE programs because we know that those of us who identify as LGBTQ2S+ need a safe place to talk about how that feels – and how hard it can be sometimes. We also offer help to parents and family members if they’re having a hard time, too.

Everyone should feel safe, supported, and fully at home in our community. Whether you identify as queer, transgender, two-spirited, and/or questioning, or you’re the parent of a gender-diverse child or youth, we have programs and services to support you.

PROUD2BE Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Conference (Virtual Event Series 2020-21)

Each fall we typically host the annual PROUD2BE conference, presented in partnership with West Vancouver Youth Services. This province-wide event brings together youth, parents, and service providers for activities, panel discussions, workshops, entertainment, and clinical services. It’s a thoughtful weekend designed to support and connect our diverse LGBTQ2S+, gender non-conforming and allied community, and is open to children, youth, and families.

We recognize that not everyone can afford to attend a conference. For this reason, we have a limited number of bursaries available for families or individuals whose financial circumstances would otherwise prevent them from attending.

This year, 2020-2021, we have adapted our in-person conference to a Virtual Event Series.  On four dates through late 2020 and 2021, we are hosting a virtual event featuring topics, speakers, panel discussions, and experiences to continue to support and connect with families, youth, and service providers, until we are able to meet together in-person again.
