Grief Support Group

If you are struggling with the loss of someone close, our free 8-week support group can guide you through the process of grieving in a safe and nurturing setting, with others who have also experienced loss. Facilitated by a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

Our grief support groups are for adults (19 and older) who live or work on the North Shore and have experienced the loss of a family member, partner, or friend. Each group includes 8 to 10 participants and offers and opportunity to share how they are doing that week. Participants also explore topics such as realistic expectations of grief and the mourner’s bill of rights. We recommend that people wait two to three months after their loss before joining, or until they feel ready to share. To provide continuity and connection, we ask participants to commit to attending all 8 sessions, unless they are unwell.

This group requires registration.  Click here for details.
