IN SUPPORT OF WONDER WHEELS AND FAMILY SERVICES OF THE NORTH SHORE
This holiday season, let’s put lights on our bikes to support Wonder Wheels (formerly Bikes for Tykes) a program of Family Services of the North Shore in proud partnership with founder James Wilson, owner of Obsession Bikes. The Wonder Wheels program helps families who are unable to afford a bike for their children, receive one at Christmas. This year, funds raised will go towards supporting the overall program including parts and labour costs necessary to refurbish pre-loved bikes, as well as bike helmets.
Jessica McIlroy and Tony Valente will be leading a family friendly holiday light bike ride around the City and District of North Vancouver.
We’ll depart from Grand Boulevard & 15th Street, head up to Lynn Valley Centre, then loop west toward Jones Ave before rolling down to the Shipyards for a cheerful evening ride.
This is a community-led ride and is not sponsored or connected with the City or District of North Vancouver. Riders are responsible for their own safety, ability, and ensuring their bikes are in good working order with standard front and rear lights (holiday lights encouraged!).
If you are participating please make a contribution to help someone else get their wheels! You know—for future rides! There is nothing more wonderful than riding a bike. It gives kids a feeling of joy, connection, and freedom that can’t be compared. Every kid should have access to a bike, and every kid should experience the wonder that comes from riding a bike. Thank you for helping us get these kiddos on wheels this holiday season.
