Last year, there were more requests for bikes than Wonder Wheels was able to fulfill. That’s why I am doing this donation match of $6,000.00, to ensure more kids get bikes this holiday season. Thank you for helping put more kids on wheels! Any amount helps.
One of my earliest memories of Christmas is getting a bike. It was a red single speed CCM with a coaster-brake and anything but fancy by even yesterday’s standards. It was my nine-year old ticket to freedom and little taste of independence; to ride over to a neighbor’s house and sometimes further. I loved riding that bike and it launched a lifelong love affair with 2-wheeled toys that continues today.
Wonder Wheels is an amazing program! It helps families who are unable to afford a bike for their children, to receive one at Christmas. I hope I can inspire fellow riders, those who love the roads and trails on the Shore as much as I do, to pitch in and help put more kids on bikes, sharing the joy of the ride.
